Obituary of Florence C Cavenaugh ~ 1985

Wallace - Mrs. Florence C. Cavenaugh, 73, of Rt. 2, Wallace, died Monday 
afternoon at her residence after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. from the Northeast 
Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Elbert Hollowell and 
Rev. Billy Toler. Burial will follow in the Cavenaugh Cemetery, Rt. 2, 
Wallace.
Mrs. Cavenaugh is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Bertie Gilbert and 
Mrs. Annie Pearl Bray, both of Wallace and Mrs. Virgie Lou Proffitt of 
Rose Hill; four sons, Aubrey Cavenaugh, John David Cavenaugh and Aaron 
Cavenaugh, all of Wallace and Ray Cavenaugh of Harrells; one sister, Mrs. 
Bessie Cavenaugh of Wallace; one brother, Mike Cavenaugh of Turkey; 20 
grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A native of Duplin County, Mrs. Cavenaugh was the daughter of the late 
John and Katie Teachey Cavenaugh and was the widow of Isaiah Cavenaugh. 
She was a member of the Northeast Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church.
Casketbearers will be Bobby Cavenaugh, Willie Gilbert, Tony Bray, Randy 
Cavenaugh, Bryan Cavenaugh and Danny Cavenaugh.
The family received at the Edgerton Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday 
and will be at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. John David Cavenaugh, Rt. 2, 
Wallace other times.
The body will remain at the funeral home until 12:30 p.m. Wednesday when 
it will be taken to the church to lie in state one hour prior the service.
