Obituary of Emily Faison Bradshaw Casteen ~ 2005

Emily Bradshaw Casteen, "Miss Emily", of Wilmington, NC, surrounded by 
her loving family, entered God's Heavenly Kingdom on April 7, 2005.
She was born on January 5, 1922, in Duplin County, NC, the daughter of 
the late Abby and Beulah Cavanaugh Bradshaw. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Casteen, and a daughter, 
Barbara Casteen Turnage.
Surviving are two daughters, Betty Casteen Willie and husband, Jack, and 
Becke Casteen; a son-in-law, Luther "Billy" Turnage; five grandchildren,
Randy Burton and wife Shelia, Eric Burton, Phil Turnage and wife Tina, 
Robert Turnage, and Beth Casteen; two great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Marie 
Thompson and Emily Casey Burton; two step great grandchildren, Charles 
Bowden and Jennifer Bowden; several nieces and nephews; her four legged 
companion, "Sunny"; and a special friend, Sylvia Thompson.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday April 11, 2005, at 
Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel by Rev. Sam Hill. 
Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Thompson, Randy Burton, Eric Burton, Billy 
Turnage, Phil Turnage, and Mike House.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m Sunday at Andrews Mortuary 
Market Street Chapel and other times at the home of Jack and Betty Willie, 
3525 Whispering Pines Ct., Wilmington.
A special thanks is expressed from the family to the 6th floor nursing 
staff at New Hanover Regional Medical Center; Dr. Praful Patel, Dr. Linda 
Calhoun, Rebecca and Judy, all of Wilmington Cardiology; Dr. John 
Pasquariello, the staff at Autumn Care; and to physician and friend, 
Dr. Andrew Westbrook.
