Obituary of Cora Williamson Barwick ~ 2004

MOUNT OLIVE -- Cora Williamson Barwick, 86, died Wednesday morning at
SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Daughter of the late Almond M. and Hattie Estelle Dail Williamson, she
was
the widow of Luby Barwick. She was a member of the First Christian Church
of Mount Olive (Disciples of Christ) and was a retired homemaker and
caretaker.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Chapel
with Dr. Jerry Burton officiating.
Burial will be in the Wells-Southerland Cemetery in the Rones Chapel
community.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Joe Herring of
Mount Olive; three grandchildren, Tony Herring and wife, Pat, of Raleigh,
Mary Beth Copeland and husband, Bryan, of Raleigh, and Donna Morris and
husband, Lee, of Raleigh; six great-grandchildren, Benjamin Herring,
Joseph Herring, Megan Copeland, Bart Copeland, Jennifer Morris, and
Natalie Morris; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the
service on Friday. At other times, they will be at the Joe and Peggy
Herring residence, 900 N. Holloman Street, Mount Olive.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Christian Church
(Disciples of Christ), c/o Agnes Thompson , 504 Wells Street, Mount Olive,
N.C., 28365.
