Obituary of Catherine Teachey Padgett ~ 2001

Watha - Catherine Teachey Padgett, age 88, died Thursday, November 29, 
2001 at Cape Fear Hospital.
She was born September 3, 1913, in Watha and was the daughter of the late 
Issac and Kathryn Cavenaugh Teachey. She was predeceased by her husband, 
Gilbert R. Padgett.
Mrs. Padgett was a member of Watha P.F.W.B. Church.
Surviving are her loving family: her daughters, Sylvia P. Pierce and 
husband, James, Sherry Bond and husband, Harvey, and Barbara Marshburn and 
husband, Arnold, all of Watha; sons, Donald R. Padgett and wife, Alma, 
Larry T. Padgett and wife, Gerry, all of Watha and Ricky Padgett of 
Willard; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and brother, 
J.Q. Teachey of Jacksonville, FL.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Watha P.F.W.B. Church with 
the Rev. Juanita Hollowell officiating.
Burial will follow in Watha United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Randy Marshburn, Robert Marshburn, Jeff Padgett, 
Gerald Padgett, Michael Bond, and Gary Pierce.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Quinn-McGowan 
Funeral Home, Wallace and at other times will be at the home of Sherry and 
Harvey Bond in Watha.
