Obituary of Carl Randolph Seymour ~ 2004

La Grange - Carl Randolph Seymour, 86, of 2378 Institute Road, died
Saturday, April 10, 2004, at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Seymour was born in Greene County to the late Jasper and Mattie Carter
Seymour.
He was husband of the late Ellen Barfield Seymour and was preceded in
death by a daughter, Patricia Pope.
He was a member of Wheat Swamp Christian Church and was a retired
long-distance truck driver.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 11, at Rouse Funeral Home.
Interment will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 12, at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Seymour is survived by three children, Carl E. Seymour and wife, Kaye,
of Snow Hill, Norma Purvis and husband, John, of La Grange, Judy Moore and
husband, Tony, of Kinston; six sisters, Pearl Price of Seven Springs,
Laverne Fields of La Grange, Yvonne Parnell of Goldsboro, Shirley Adams
of St. George, Ga., Bernice Zorn of Sun Valley, Nev., and Doris Frye of
Arizona; 12 grandchildren, Jeff Seymour, Mona Gordon, Stephanie Pope,
Jennifer Nichols, Cindy Gaskins, Anne Purvis, Clint Purvis, Jessica
Rosenbaum, Daniel Purvis, Jony Moore, Tee Moore and Tyler Moore; and six
great-grandchildren, Brittany Hill, Christian Gordon, Shane Nichols,
Kasey Gordon, Ethan Gaskins and Madison Rosenbaum.
The family will receive friends following the service Sunday and at other
times they will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Purvis, 3630 Drew
Farmer Road, La Grange.
Arrangements are by Rouse Funeral Home, La Grange.
