Obituary of Betty Jane Gregory Herritt ~ 2004

Betty Jane Gregory Herritt, 78, of 3735 E. Ash St., died Saturday at her 
home. 
Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late William and Eva 
Holmes Gregory.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Shumate-Faulk Funeral 
Home. The Rev. Dock Hobbs will be officiating. 
Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
She is survived by her husband, Jack L. Herritt; a son and daughter-in-law,
Ray and Brenda Herritt of Goldsboro; two daughters and a son-in-law, Carol 
J. Herring of Dudley, and Joyce and Frank Carnley of Goldsboro; a brother, 
George Gregory of Goldsboro; two sisters, Bessie Holmes of Mount Olive and 
Elizabeth Weaver of Goldsboro; five grandchildren and 11 great-
grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Shumate-Faulk 
Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of Ray and Brenda Herritt, 
101 Tindale Place, Goldsboro.
