Bessie Jane Gregory Holmes, age 77, died Wednesday, August 16, 2006. 
Funeral was held Saturday, August 19 at Tyndall Funeral Home. 
Burial followed at Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive. 
Survived by: 2 sons, Robert "Bob" Holmes and wife Carolyn of Grantham and 
Kenneth Holmes and wife Antonetta of Mount Olive; 3 daughters, Ellen H 
Dearman and husband Tommy and Shirley H. Jones and husband Clay all of 
Mount Olive and Sharon H. Jones and husband Jeff of LaGrange; brother, 
George Gregory of Goldsboro; 11 grandchildren; and 3 great-granddaughters. 
Preceded in death by: parents, William Henry and Eva Holmes Gregory; 
husband, James Earl Holmes; daughter, Lois H. McCullen; 2 sisters, 
Elizabeth G. Weaver and Betty G. Herritt; 6 brothers, Lonnie, James, John, 
Bill, Major, and Fletcher Gregory.
