Wallace - Mrs. Beadie Sholar Cavenaugh, age 85, of Route 2, Wallace, died 
Friday morning, April 3, at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 5, from the Oak 
Dale Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Larry Kelley 
and Rev. Samuel Swinson. Burial will follow in the William Sholar Cemetery.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Edna Baxley of Plant City, Fla., 
Mrs. Bill (Thelma) Stokes of Wallace and Mrs. P.H. (Shirley) Pigford of 
Kinston; two granddaughters, Miss Linda Gail Stokes of Wanague, N.J., and 
Miss Marilyn Stokes of Wallace; and one grandson, William Thomas Stokes of 
Garner.
A native of Duplin County, Mrs. Cavenaugh was the daughter of the late John
William and Dillie Henderson Sholar. She was the widow of Stephen William 
Cavenaugh and was a member of Oak Dale Pentecostal Free Will Baptist 
Church.
Casketbearers will be Morrison Sholar, I.B. Sholar, Leon Craft, Roger Dean 
Sholar, Elmer Cavenaugh and Leamon Cavenaugh.
The family received at the Padgett funeral Home in Wallace from 7 to 9 p.m.
Saturday and will be at their residence, Route 2, Wallace, other times.
The body will remain at the funeral home until 12:30 p.m. Sunday, when it 
will be taken to the church to lie in state one hour prior the service.
