Obituary of Barbara Susan Armstrong Pearsall-- 1936

DIED

Mrs. Barbara Susan Pearsall, widow of Edwin D. Pearsall, who died at her home in Rocky Point Saturday morning at 5:30 o'clock. Services were conducted in the Rocky Point Methodist church. The Rev. C. A. Jones, the pastor of the deceased, conducted the services. Pallbearers were: Honorary - W. W. Miller, Dr. R. J. Williams, John Armstrong, Boke McLendon, A. N. Rhodes and W. G. Casteen; active - R. W. Southerland, A. B. Reeves, Roger Futch, R. L. Wright, James Hayes and Sidney Balcombe. Mrs. Pearsall was 88 on May 29. She is survived by four children: William W., Thomas P., Robert D., and Martha Ann, and 14 grandchildren, one great grandchild, and one nephew, the Rev. T. J. Armstrong. She was a life-long member of the Methodist church.

Note: Barbara Susan Armstrong was the daughter of Thomas James Armstrong and Martha Ann Wilson. She was the widow of Edward Dickson Pearsall. They were married 11 May 1876 in Duplin County, NC.
