Obituary of Andrew Aldridge ~ 1944

Andrew Aldridge, 71, a retired farmer, died at the home of his daughter, 
Mrs. Toby Byrd, in Vance Township, about 9 p. m. Tuesday after a short 
illness. 
Funeral service will be held at 3 p. m. Thursday from Garner's Funeral 
Home here, conducted by Rev. Floyd Harris, Free Will Baptist pastor, of 
Kinston. Burial will follow in the Croom Cemetery near Sandy Bottom. 
He is survived by four daughters, who are: Mrs. Byrd, with whom he has 
lived the past several years, Mrs. Guy Wetherington, of Kinston, Mrs. 
Roosevelt Casper, of Trenton, and Mrs. Mary Jane Lee, of Pink Hill. One 
sister, Mrs. Everett Boyd, of Pink Hill and several grandchildren also 
survive.
