Obituary of Alton Bruce Jones ~ 1999

Stantonsburg -- A. Bruce Jones, 71, died Monday. The funeral will be held 
at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Chapel. 
Burial will follow in Edwin Owens Cemetery near Saratoga.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Goff Jones; a daughter, Nancy J. Matthews of 
Wilson; two sons, Tim Jones of Wilson and Robert Jones of Oxford; three 
sisters, Hazel Summerlin of Wilson, Mae Bostic of Beulaville and Edna Earl 
Laughinghouse of New Bern; two brothers, Preston Jones of Apex and Henry 
Jones of Grifton; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-8:30 tonight 
and at other times at 4773 Old Stantonsburg Road, Wilson
