Wallace - Almon C. James, 67, RFD 2 Wallace, died Saturday morning in New 
Hanover Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Edgerton Funeral 
Chapel by Rev. Volney Bryan and Rev. K. D. Brown. 
Burial will follow in the Henderson Cemetery at Pin Hook.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Rubena James; one daughter, Mrs. Eloise 
Wells, Granville O., three sons, Albert James, Wallace, Edward James, 
Wilmington and R. C. James, US Navy, Norfolk, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. 
Pearlie Henderson, Wallace and Mrs. Jesse Mitchell, Rocky Point; one 
brother, Ayden James, Wallace; 23 grandchildren.
A native of Duplin County, he was the son of the late Everett and Callie 
Brown James. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Oakdale 
Pentecostal Baptist Church.
