Obituary of Agnes Aldridge Byrd ~ 1949

Byrd Rites Set At 3 on Monday 

Mrs. Agnes Aldridge Byrd, 45, widow of Tobie Byrd of the Mewborn's 
Crossroads section, died in a local hospital Sunday afternoon after a 
major operation. 
The funeral will be at the graveside in the L. P. Tyndall Cemetery near 
Old Pink Hill at 3 p. m. Monday, Rev. Rupert A. Phillips, Disciples of 
Christ minister from Kinston, officiating.
Surviving are four sons, Horace, Johnnie, and Charles Ray Byrd all of the 
home, and Tommy Byrd of Kinston; three daughters, Lena Mae, Agnes and 
Carol, all of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Guy Worthington of Kinston and 
Mrs. Roosevelt Casper of Institute.
