Surviving: daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Brown Hanchey of Wallace; sisters, Mrs. 
Bessie Bradham and Mrs. Bertie Hatcher, both of Chinquapin; brother, John 
Edward Lanier of Burgaw; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; 
four step-great-granchildren.
