Quincy Jackson Sutton, Sr.

WARSAW—Quincy Jackson Sutton, Sr., 93, passed away on Monday, November 
24, 1997, at Duplin General Hospital in Kenansville.  Mr. Sutton was a longstanding 
member of Warsaw United Methodist Church.  He was also an active member of the 
Warsaw Masonic Lodge #677, where he served as a past Master and for many years 
as Secretary, and a member of the Sudan Temple of the Shrine.  Mr. Sutton was well 
known from his career with Branch Bank of Warsaw.  He was born on January 23, 
1904, to Robert Ivey and Wilma (sic) Taylor Sutton.  Funeral services will be held at 
2 p.m. Saturday, November 29 from Warsaw United Methodist Church.  The Warsaw 
Masonic Lodge #677 will serve as pallbearers.  Mr. Sutton will receive full rites.  
Interment will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery.  Survivors include a son, Jack Sutton and 
wife, Judy of Savannah, GA; two grandchildren, Susan Taylor and husband, J. J. of 
Richmond, VA, and Stephen Sutton and wife, Michelle of Winston-Salem; two 
great-grandchildren, Jessica Taylor and Jarrett Taylor both of Richmond, VA; two sisters, 
Susie Tyndall of Trenton and Alma Taylor of Kinston.  The family will receive friends from 
7 to 9 Friday, November 28, at Community Funeral Home of Warsaw.  In lieu of flowers, 
memorials may be made to Warsaw United Methodist Church.  (Pd. Obit.)
