Matthis-Dorr Wedding
Lyndsey Hayward Dorr and Lelon Hugh Matthis were married on Saturday, September 9, 2006 at 5:30 pm at the
Community Presbyterian Church in Pinehurst. Pastor Louis Hill officaited at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr Donald Dorr of Plymouth, Massachusetts and Ms Elyse Dorr of Osterville,
Massachusetts. The groom is the son of Pat and Connie Matthis of Kenansville.
Mrs Teri Almond Johnson of Charleston, South Carolina served as matron of honor. The bridesmaids were
Julie Winslow of Falmouth, Massachusetts, Audra Best of Mebane, Amy Cappello of West Barnstable,
Massachusetts, Jill Hutchison of Pinehurst, and Heather Martin of Raleigh.
The groom chose his father as his best man. The groomsmen were Lee Matthis of Christiansburg, Virginia
Jayme Dorr of Hartford, Connecticut, Nick Bell of Kenansville, Nathan Ollhoff of Brookline, Massachusetts and
Juston Norvell of Orlando, Florida. The ring bearer was Evan Parker Matthis, nephew of the groom.
Dorothy McDonald of Pinehurst provided the music for the wedding. The wedding coordinators were Anna
West of Kenansville and Joyce Johnson of Pinehurst.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at National Golf Club in Pinehurst. Guests enjoyed dinner
and dancing to music provided by DJ, Curtis Carpenter.
The bride and groom graduated from Methodist College in Fayetteville. Both graduated with a Bachelor of Science
degree in Business and Marketing and a concentration in Professional Golf Mangament. The couple will soon be
moving to St Simmons Island in Georgia.
