Paul Stephen Grimes
Mr. Paul Stephen Grimes, 75, of Jonesboro, passed away, August 18, 2011.
He was a member of several organizations, including the Order of Eastern Star,
Masonic Order of Scottish Rite Shrine, Sons of American Revolution, Yaarab
Shrine Temple, and also co-founder and committee chairman of Cub Scout Pack
1776. He was retired from the U. S. Coast Guard and Delta Air Lines.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Virginia Gielen.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; son and daughter-in-law, Paul, Jr.,
and Babs Grimes, of Suwanee; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy Diane and Melvin
Cline, of Jonesboro; brother, Dwight Grimes, of Lakeland, Fla.; sister,
Laurice Kory, of Winterhaven, Fla.; grandchildren, Courtney Grimes Pyles,
Jerred Michael Cline, Sean Bilodeau, Sarah Bilodeau, Taylor Cline; great-
grandchild, Cailyn Rae Pyles; son-in-law and his children, Don Gielen of
Fayetteville, N.C., Leslie Stewart and Ginny Carpenter.
#Funeral services will be held, Monday, Aug. 22, at 10 a.m., at the First
Christian Church of Jonesboro, with remains placed in state one hour prior to
the service. Pastor Wade Hall will officiate. Interment will be at Sherwood
Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, Aug. 21, from 2
p.m., to 5 p.m., at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers make contributions
to the Paul Grimes Memorial Fund for Scouting at the Delta Community Credit
Union, 1025 Virginia Ave., Atlanta, Ga. 30354. Ford-Stewart Funeral Home,

I am hoping you can honor Paul Grimes.
Paul joined the effort and was also a member of the SAR instrumental in
coordinating the aforementioned Grave Marking ceremony.
His wife is Elizabeth Simmons Grimes and their daughter is Peggy Grimes Kline,
both members of the DAR.
He passed away August 18, 2011.
