Sampson Deed Book 23, page 163 – 10 Oct 1832 – James Wilson to son 
Joseph Wilson – Deed of Gift, land on south side of Stewart Creek, mouth 
of Piging branch, line of Archibald Canady’s line, Horse pen branch, Clark’s 
branch, 204 acres.

Duplin Deed Book 11, p 37 - 17 Aug 1838 - Deed of Gift, James Wilson of 
Sampson County to his son, Willis Wilson, of Duplin, negroes.

Duplin Deed Book 21, page 92 – 25 Dec 1851 - Deed John Wilson to James 
Wilson - mentions John Wilson and wife Sarah, to his son, James Wilson, 
land on Fussell’s and James Creek. Galberry Branch, 102 acres.

Duplin Deed Book 21, page 154 – 18 Aug 1852 – Deed James D. Wilson to 
Isham Shuffield – mentions 7 ½ acres on Parsons Branch.  Wit:  H. Hollingsworth, 
Willis Wilson.

Sampson Deed Book 32, page 514 - 14 Feb 1854, James Wilson of Sampson 
County to his son James D. Wilson, county of Duplin, land in Sampson on east 
side of Miry Branch adjoining the lands of Alexander Wilson, Wm K. Chestnut & 
others, 52 1/2 acres - and negroes (illegible).

Sampson Deed Book 32, page 269 - 16 Feb 1856, James Wilson, Sampson County, 
to son, Alexander Wilson, Sampson County, land south side of Stewart's creek and 
Miry Branch adjoining lands of W. K. Chestnutt, forty two acres, negro Everette, 
aged about seventeen.  

Sampson Deed Book 34, page 216 – 16 Jun 1856 – James D. Wilson, Sr., county 
of Duplin to James D. Wilson, Jr. county of Sampson, for three hundred and eighty 
seven dollars land sold land south side of Stewarts creek adjoining Wm K. 
Chestnutt, James Watson and others, run of Mire branch, 52 ½ acres.  

Sampson Deed Book 33, page 367 - 7 Mar 1857 - Deed of Gift - Alexander Wilson to 
his son, George F. Wilson, two negroes, Peter, aged 21; and John, aged 15; land 
on waters of Rockfish & Stewart Creek adjoining lands of Brian (illegible) Merrit & 
Wm K. Chestnutt and others, 100 acres.

Sampson Deed Book 33, page 368 – Alexander Wilson – Deed 7 Mar 1857 - Deed 
of Gift to James D. Wilson, his son.  Alexander Wilson of Sampson to James 
Dickson Wilson, both of Sampson county, son of said Alexander Wilson, land on 
Stewarts Creek and Miry Branch adjoining Brian Merritt, Wm K. Chestnut & others, 
100 acres, and two negroes, one named Joe, aged 20 six and the other a boy call 
by the name of Alford, aged about ten years.  

Sampson Deed Book 34, page 90 – Deed 1 Feb 1857 – James Wilson, county of 
Sampson to James D. Wilson, county of Duplin – sold land for three hundred dollars 
on the south side of Stewarts Creek and the headwater of Clarke branch adjoining 
the lands of Alex Wilson, J. D. Wilson, J. Bullard and others, 60 acres.  

Sampson Deed Book 34, page 214 - Deed 5 Nov 1858 - Alexander Wilson to his son 
George F. Wilson, land Sampson, south side Stewart's creek - two tracts fifty acres 
and eighty three acres.  

Duplin Deed Book 23, page 434 – July 1860 term Duplin Court - Dower of Amanda 
Wilson, widow of Willis Wilson – two tracts - land on Marsh Branch, mentions W. 
Hollingsworth and James Rivenbarks line, in all 141 acres.

Duplin Deed Book 24, page 200 – 17 Dec 1862 – Wm Brice to sister, Amanda Wilson, 
wife of John James Wilson, land on Rockfish Creek, bounds Knowles land, 150 acres.

Duplin Deed Book 25, page 66 – 30 Apr 1866 – Deed of Gift - James D. Wilson to 
daughter, Emma D. Boyett, wife of John Acram Boyett, land adjoining Wilmington 
& Weldon Railroad and Parsons Branch, 107 ½ acres.

Duplin Deed Book 26, page 538 – 22 Feb 1868 - Joseph Wilson of Sampson County 
to daughter, Elizabeth Caroline Matthews wife of Oliver M. Matthews, land in counties 
of Duplin and New Hanover, Powell’s Branch, adjoining lands of Taylor, Blanchard and 
others, 70 acres, Powell Branch.

two hundred dollars on Parsons Branch, 192 acres.
