Granted to William McCanne Two hundred acres of land in Duplin County Wt. side the No. East
River joining his own land being the place called the great Horseshoe or Round about. Begining
at a pine stump on the bank of a large Slew near the River by the Mouth of the Mill Run his own
corner being the first station of a tract of 420 acres formerly patened by Thomas Johns.
Thence runing along McCannes own open line or last line of said 420 acres a course nearly No.
60 Et. 154 poles to a pine on the River Bank at a place called the Rafting Oak of a corner of
his Survey of Eighty acres. Thence down the River the several courses thereof as it meanders
including a place called the cut across and all the several courses thereof to the Mouth of
Mill Run. Thence to the first station being an active survey made by me.
