Wm Farrior To J E Hall
Deed 2 Lots in Hallsvill
This Indenture made this the 20th day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand
eighty Hundred and thirty nine between William Farrior of the State of North Carolina
and County of Duplin of the one part and James Edward Hall of the County and State
aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the aforesaid William Farrior hath for and
inconsideration of the sum of one thousand dollars in hand paid at and before the
sealing and delivery of these presents by the aforesaid James E Hall the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledge barganed sold aliened enfeoffed conveyed and confirmed and by
these presents doth bargain sell alien enfeoff confirm and convey unto the said J E Hall
the following lotts in the place now called Hallsvill (aleas) Hallsburg (viz) one lot
laying on the North side of the road that leads from Newbern to Fayettbille Est of the
North East River and South of Limestone Creek begining at a stake on said road and runs
as follows No 20 Est 168 feet to a stake thence Est 108 pole to a stake thence South 20
West 168 feet to a stake thence West 108 feet to the begining containing and half acre
be the same more less also one other Lott in the above mention place begining at the upper
corner of the creek bridge at a stake on the edge of the Creek and runs So 35 East 75 feet
to a stake at the junction of Saracta Road with the Fayettvill and Newbern road thence
No 73 East 167 1/2 feet along the road to a stake against Farrior and Southerland corner
thence No 20 WSest fett to the creek with this line thence down the creek to the begining
containing an half acre be the same more or less To have and to hold all and singular the
above described Lots free of the claims or intrust of my self and all maner of persons
together with all and singular the improvements hereditaments appertenances and advantage
thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to the aforesaid James E Hall his heirs and
assigns and the aforesaid William Farrior doth hereby for him self and his heirs covenent
and agree with the aforesaid J E Hall forever to warrent and defend the lawfull and proper
title in and unto all and singular the aforemention and bargain property unto him the aforesaid
J E Hall his heirs and assigns In witness whereof the aforesaid William Farrior hath here
unto set his hand and seal and delivered the same in presents of the subsribing witnesses day
and date above writen
