Deed for 400 acres lands This indenture made this 21st day of April in the year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and eighty three, between William Sulliven of the State of North Carolina in the County of Duplin of the one part, and John Sulliven junr. of the same County and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth, that the said Wiliam Sullivan for divers good causes him therunto moving, but more specially for the baluable sum of ninety pounds specie money to him in hand paid before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge himself to be there with full satisfied and contented of every part and parcel thereof doth acquit and dischare the said William Sulliven his heirs executors and administratiors hath bargained sold conveyed and do by these presents for himself his heirs or assigns executors administrators & assigns fully grant bargain sell and forever confirm unto the said John Sulliven his heirs or assigns a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the above siad County of Duplin in the fork of the No. East & Goshen and on head of Outlaw's marsh containing by estimation four hundred acres be the same or less. Begining at a stake John Sulliven's corner on the north side of Outlaw's Marsh and runs No. 14 Et. 101 poles to a Jack, thence No. 76 Wt. 200 poles crosing ground nut to a stake, thence So. 14 Wt. 320 crossing norrow marsh branch to a gum in the head of a small branch thence So. 76 Et. 200 poles to a stake on John Sulliven's line, thence to the begn'g. To have and to hold the said four hundred of land and premises with the appertenances thereunto belonging with all houses buildings commons, partures woods water courses profits advantages whatsoever with all enjoyments to the said land and premises in as full and ample manner as the aforesaid Sullivent might or could enjoy the same four hundred acres of land, as patent bearing date the first day of April 1780 with all the above mentioned premises and every part and parcel thereof unto the said John Sulliven his heirs and assigns, that he the said William Sulliven is the true heir and lawful owner of said land and premises to the proper use and behoof of him the said John Sulliven his heirs and assigns forever without any incumbrance that shall or may happen attir or change the same, and that he hath a right to grant bargain sell convey and forever confirm the said land and premises above mentioned to the said John Sulliven his heirs or assigns, hall or may from time to time & at all times hereafter peacebly and quietly hold use occupy possess and enjoy all and singular athe above mentioned land and premises without any interuption of him the said William Sullivan his heirs executors and administrators or any other person or persons whatwoever, and further the said William Sullivan doth covenant and engage for himself his heirs and assigns, that at any time hereafter at the cost of him the said Joh Sullivan his heirs or assigns & at his ot their cost to make or cause to be made and duely executed any other instrument of writing as he or they ot his council learned in the law shall advise or require for the intent of confirming a title to the aforesaid land and premises to the said John Sulliven his heirs & assigns forever. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and date first above written. William Sulliven Signed sealed & delivered in presence of Dempsey Taylor Casen Harris Nathan Bullard State of No. Carolina, Duplin County, October Court 1784.
