William Picket To Sihon Picket Deed 16 March 1789

(Transcribed by Diane Siniard) Deed Book E Page 123, 124, 125, & 126 William Picket To Sihon Picket Deed 100 acres the State of No. Carolina Duplin County This Indenture made this sixteenth day of March and in the thirteenth year of our Independence and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eight nine Between William Picket Junr. and Sihon Picket both of the said County and State aforesaid planter. Witnesseth that the said William Picket for and in consideration of the sum of sixty pounds specie to him in hand paid by the said Sihon Pickett the Receipt whereof he the said William Pickett hereby acknowledge himself to be therewith fully contented satisfied & paid and Every part and parcel thereof doth fully freely and absolutely aquit Exonerate and discharge him the said Sihon Pickett his heirs and assigns forever I have given granted bargained sold and by these presents do freely fully and absolutely give grant bargain sell allienate enfeoffe, convey assign and forever make over and confirm unto him the said Sihon Pickett his heirs and assigns a certain plantation tract or parcel of Land containing one hundred acres by Estimation be the same more or less the said being patened by Peter Debrual In April the 11th 1759. Lying and being in our County of Duplin on the East side of the North East Branch of Capefare River on the south side of Cypress creek at place called the Lake. Begining at a water oak by the Lake thence Running So. 10 Et. opposite against the mouth of a small branch to a pine thence a Cross the Lake along a line of marked trees to a pine on the Back line thence along the said line to a pine and from thence to the first station to have and to hold unto the said Sihon Pickett his heirs and assigns forever together with all Improvements appurtainances and previledged thereunto belonging and to the only proper use benefit and behoofe of him the said Sihon Pickett his heirs Exrs. Admrs. and assigns forever and the said William Pickett doth for himself his heirs Excrs. and admrs. covenant grant and agree to and with him the said Sihon Pickett his heirs & assigns That he and them shall from time to time and at all times forever hereafter hold use occupy possess and Enjoy the aforesaid bargained premises and Every part and parcel thereof with out the Least Interruption molistation or hinderance of him the said William Picket his heirs or assigns or any other person or persons whatsoever and further that he the said William Pickett his heirs Exers. admrs. and assigns shall and will from time to time and at all times forever hereafter make do Execute at the Reasonable of him the said Sihon Pickett his heirs or assigns all suck further Conveyanances and asshurance in the Law for the moreparfiect assuring and conveying the aforesaid Land and premises unto the said Sihon Pickett his heirs and assigns forever as by the said Sihon Pickett Etorney Learned in Law shall be Devised advised or requred and lastly that he the said William Pickett his heirs Excrs. and admrs. shall and will forever hereafter warrant and Defend the aforesaid piece of Land with the appurtainances premises and previledges thereunto belonging or in wise appurtaining unto him the said Sihon Pickett his heirs Excrs. admrs. and assigns against all manner of former or other gifts grants sales Leases wills dowreys Entails Covenants Mortgages or Judgements or other Incumberances what nature or kind soever by me the said William Pickett or any other other person or persons whatsoever or whatsoever laying any Lawfull claim thereunto or any part or parcel thereof in as full ample manner as any Lands are holden in this Government In witness whereof I the said William Pickett have thereunto set my hand and fixt my seal this day and year above written this fourth day of July 1789.
