(Transcribed by Rose Sullivan) Book G Page 27 No. 1088 Granted to William Hurst thirty acres of land in Duplin County on the North side of Goshen Swamp—Beginning at a pine & a lightwood Stake in a Meadow John Bradleys corner and runs Thence along Bradleys line N. 70° W. 127. pole to a Red Oak his corner, Thence along William Dicksons line S. 60° E. 196 pole to a Sweet Gum saplin. Thence S. 30° E. 26. pole to a Maple said Hursts own corner in the side of the swamp. Thence along Hursts line N. 15° W. 140. pole to a pine on John Bradleys line and Thence along his line to the beging---------- Dated the 11th day of July, in the 20th year of our independence and in the year of our Lord 1788.
