William Hunter To Samuel Byet
Deed 25 acres
This Indenture made this fourteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one
thousand seven hundred and ninety one. Betwixt William Hunter Planter of the State
of North Carolina and Duplin County of the one part and Samuel Byet of the County
and State aforesaid planter of the other part. Witnesseth that the said William
Hunter for and in consideration of the sum of twenty five pounds specie to him in
hand paid before the signing sealing and Delivering of these presents by the said
Samuel Byet whereof I do acknowledge myself fully satisfied conten and paid and
every part and parcel have bargained and sold and forever confirmed unto him the
said Samuel Boyet a certain parcel or Tract of Land lying and being in the County
and State aforesaid containing twenty five acres more or less on the north side of
the Grove swamp and west side of Ashe Branch. Begining at a Red oake on the edge
of ash Branch on Samuel Boyets line and along said line So. 75 Wt. to a pine Boyets
corner thence his other line So. 22 Et. 72 pole to a pine his corner thence John
Phillips line So. with his line to a Black gum in a small Branch a corner of the
Phillips Bought of said Hunter thence down said line to ashe Branch to an oake thence
up said branch to the Begining containing twenty five acres more or less. To have
and to hold to him the said Samuel Boyet his heirs and assigns forever the above
bargained Land and premises with all appurtainances thereunto belonging or in any
wise appurtaining and I the said William Hunter do for myself my heirs Executors
administrators and assigns the above bargained Land and premises forever warrant and
Defend to him the said Samuel Boyet his heirs and assigns to them and their only proper
use benefit and behooff freely from all former gifts grants judgements mortgages Dowers
or any other Incumbrances of any kind whatsoever given or granted by him the said
William Hunter and he the said Samuel Boyet his heirs and assigns the above bragain
premises shall and may from time to time and at all times have hold use occupy possess
and enjoy the above bargain Land and premises according to the true intent and meaning
of these presents. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixt my seal
the day and Date above written.
