William Dickson To William Farrior
Deed 230 acres
This Indenture made the twenty fourth day of February in the year of our Lord Christ
one thousand seven Hundred and ninety one. Between William Dickson of the County of Duplin
in the state of North Carolina of the one part and William Farrior of the County of Duplin
and state of North Carolina of the other part. Witnesseth that the said William Dickson for
and in consideration of the sum of one Hundred pounds in specie well and truly paid to him
before the sealing and Delivery of these presents by the said William Farrior the Receipt
whereof he Doth hereby acknowledge and himself therewith to be fully satisfied and contented
and paid and of Every part and parcel thereof doth aquit and Discharge the said William Farrior
his Heirs Excrs. and admrs. He the said William Dickson hath given granted bargained sold
aliened, Enfeofed conveyed and confirmed transfered and set over unto the said William Farrior
and by these presents for himself his Heirs Excrs. and admrs. doth fully freely and absolutely
give grant bargain seell alien enfeoffe convey confirm transfer assign and set over untot he
said William Farrior his Heirs and assigns forever all that that peice or parcel of Land situate
Lying and being in the County of Duplin aforesaid on the East side of the No. Easwt Branch of
Cape Fear River below the mouth of Limestone Creek. Begining at a water oak and a cypress on
the River bank below thence with of the Creek by William Maxwells begining corner runing thence
along his line Et. 80 pole to a pine thence No. 70 Et. 124 pole to a pine and lightwood swamp
James Gillespies corner thence along same Gillespies Line So. 20 Et. 186 pole to a pine his
corner thence along the patent line So. 70 Wt. 260 pole to a water oak a pine on the River bank
and there up the River as it Meanders tot he begining containing by estimation Two hundred and
Thirty acres of Land be the same more or Less it being part of a patent of 580 acres which was
granted to William Dickson Archibald Gillespie and Andrew McIntire bearing Date the 23d day of
December Anno Domino 1763. Reference being thereunto had may more fully appear. Together with
all woods wates and water courses ways Improvements profits and advantagages whatsoever thereon
and thereunto in any wise appurtaining. To have and to hold to him the said William Farrior
his Heirs and assigns forever all and singular the above Bargained premises with the appurtainances
in as full ample manner as he the said William Dickson by his patent for the same coud or might
enjoy and the Reversion and Reversions and Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and profits
thereof and all the Estate Right, Title, Interest, Property, Claim & Demand whatsoever of him
said William Dickson and of his Heirs of in and to the said premises and Every part and Parcel
thereof and all Deeds, Evidences and writings Touching or concerning the same and the said William
Dickson for himself his heirs Exers. and Admrs. Doth covenant promises and agree to and with the
said William Farrior that he the said William Farrior his Heirs and assigns shall & may from
time to time and at all times forever hereafter Lawfully peaceably, and Quietly, Have, hold use
occupy possess and engoy said bargained premises with all the appurtainances as a good secure &
parfect Estate of Inhertance in fee simple, and further the said William Dickson for himself his
Heirs Excrs. and admrs. Doth Covenant and agree to and with the said William Farrior and his heir
and assigns. To warrant and Defend the said hereby bargained premises and Every part and parcel
thereof to him the said William Farrior his Heirs and assigns forever against him the said William
Dickson his heirs Excrs. admrs. or assigns and from and against all and Every person or persons
whatsoever Lawfully claiming any Right, Title Interest or property of in or to the said hereby
bargained Land and premises or any part or parcel thereof. In Witness whereof the said William
Dickson have hereunto set my hand and seal the Day and Date first above written
signed sealed and Delivered
