William Clark To Daniel Clark Deed 13 September 1791

(Transcribed by Joan S Dunn) Deed Book E Page 368, 369, &n 370 William Clark To Daniel Clark Deed This Indenture made this thirteenth day of September in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred and ninety one. Between William Clark of the State of Georgia on the one part and Daniel Clark of the County of Duplin in the state of North Carolina of the other part. Witnesseth that whereas John Clark late of the County of Duplin in the state of North Carolina Died Intestate without making any last will and Testament and was at the time of his Death seized and possessed of Diverse Tracts and parcels of Land in fee simple situate lying and being in the County of Duplin aforesaid and in the County of Sampson in the State of North Carolina aforesaid without leaving any issue. And whereas the said Lands and premises by the Laws of the State aforesaid Descends to the said William Clark, Daniel Clark, and Lewis Clark, Benjamin Clark, Nathan Clark, and David Clark, James Clark, Brothers and Jointers of the said John Clark Deceased. Now to Know ye that I the said William Clark for and in Consideration of six hundred Pounds to me in hand paid by the said Daniel Clark the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. Have granted Bargained and sold Aliened Enfeoffed released and confirmed and by these presents doth gran Bargain and sell alien Enfeoffe release and Confirm unto the said Daniel Clark his heirs and assigns forev all my part, share, right Title, Interest and claim of in and to every Tract and parcel of Land whereof the said John Clark Deceased died seized and possessed of in the said Countys of Duplin and Else where. To have and to hold my said share, right, Title and Interest of in and to every part and parcel of the said Lands to the said Daniel Clark his heirs and assigns forever. To the only proper us and Behoofe of the said Daniel Clark his heirs and assigns forever. In witness whereof the said William Clark hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written. Signed Sealed & Delivered In presence of William Clark Shadr.
