(Transcribed by Joan S Dunn) Deed Book 12 Page 74, & 75 William Bostwick To Jacob Bostwick Deed for 50 acres of Land This Indenture made this the 24th day of September in the year of our Lord on thousand eight hundred and thirty nine witnesseth that I William Bostwick of the County of Duplin and State of North Carolina hath for the consideration of the sum of fifty dollars to me in hand paid bargained sold and forever set over unto Jacob Bostwick of the County and State aforesaid a tract or parcel of land in Duplin County aforesaid in and the No side of Foley brancd begining at a gum on the run of foley Branch thence No 20 w 33 poles to a stake on the moling road thence No 63 E 55 poles to a stake thence thence so 67 E 120 poles to a pine thence so 40 W 64 poles to a gum on the run of foley branch thence up with the meanders of said run to the begining containing fifty acres more or less I the before said William Bostwick by these presents warrant and forever defend the aforesaid land and premises with all the appertainances there unto belonging unto him the aforesaid Jacob Bostwick his heirs and assigns for ever against my self my heirs and assigns for ever also against the lawful claim of all other persons whatsoever in witness where of I have here unto set my hand and seal the day and date above written signed sealed and delivered in presents of the subscribing witnesses William Bostwick R S Stanley John Brock State of North Carolina Duplin County Court of Pleas & Quarter Session October Term 1839 the exicution of the written deed is duly proven in open court by the oath of John Brock a subscribing witness there to & is orderd to be registered Test James Dickson Clk Copy E M Routledge for N Routledge Regr
