William Hunter to Isaac Brown Deed 1 February 1819

Book 7, pp135-6) William Hunter to Isaac Brown Deed 50 Acres This Indenture made the first day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & nineteen between William Hunter of the County of Duplin & State of North Carolina, planter, of the one part & Isaac Brown of the same place & occupation of the other part. Witnesseth, that the said William Hunter for and in consideration of the sum of thirty dollars lawful money of the said State, the receipt for which is hereby acknowledged, have bargained sold conveyed enfeoffed set over & forever confirmed unto the said Isaac Brown his heirs & assigns a part of a tract of land lying & being in the County aforesaid and on the north side of the Cedar fork of Reedy Creek. Beginning at a pine, a corner of the land that William Hunter sold Jesse Brown, & runs S’o 61 poles to a pine by the swamp thence with Stephen Hancock’s old line N’o 80 W120 poles to a Water Oak thence Jesse Brown’s line N’o 10 E 60 poles to a pine thence ‘s 80 E 90 poles to a pine, thence to the beginning, containing fifty acres, more or less, being part of a patent granted Job Thigpen, all which lands of premises hereditaments & appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any ways appertaining the said William Hunter doth for himself his heirs exers or admrs by these presents warrant & forever defend unto the said Isaac Page. Brown his heirs & assigns, to have & to hold to his or their only use benefit & behoof, clear & free from the just or lawful claim of the said William Hunter his heirs exers or admrs & from every other person or persons whatever - & from all incumbrance whatever. In testimony whereof the said William Hunter doth hereunto set his hand & affix his seal the day & date first written.
