Granted to William McCanne, Jr. one hundred acres of land in Duplin County west side the No.
East River in Loves pocoson about one mile from James Floyds a little So. of Martin Duns 200
acre survey being a place called the Chinkapin Island.  Begining at a pine & lightwood tree 
in a low kind of piney Island and about one hundred yards Et. of the thick swamp.  Thence No.
35 Wt. 127 poles.  Thence So. 55 Wt. 127 poles.  Thence So. 35 Et. 127 poles.  Then North 55
Et. to the begining.
