(Transcribed by Joan S Dunn) William Hunter Div. of Land Pursuant to an order of July term 1834 to us directed to divide the lands of William Hunter Decd. between his lawful heirs and report the same to next court. We the committee have divided as follows the first piace to Jackson Hunter one peace Begining at a swett bay in the west side of the great branch in Henry Piketts line then with his line No. 80 Wt. 112 poles to a pine his corner then with Hollingsworth line So. 34 Wt. 52 poles to a stake in his other line then So. 57 Wt. with said line 84 poles to a pine his corner then the same course 48 pole to a bunch of small pines in the edge of said branch Wm. Picketts corner then up the meanders of the said branch to the begining containing fifty one acres the same more or less. One other peace lying below Muddy Creek bridge begining at a stake on the bank of the Creek and runs So. 49 Et. abt. 140 poles to a stake at the road then along the road No. 39 Et. 19 poles to the fork of the road then No. 26 Wt. abt. 160 poles to a stake on the back line then as the back line to the begining containing by estimation forty three acres one other piace on the lower side of the road begining at the upper landing and runs the road No. 29 Et. 32 poles to the fork of the road then So. 26 Et. 12 poles to a stake in a branch then down said branch as it meanders to an ash corner then So. 72 Wt. abt. 90 poles to the river then up the river to the begining containing 20 acres 3 acres excepted on the bank of the river which leaves 17 acres which makes in the whole 111 acres the second lot to Wright Hunter begining at an ash in a branch that runs through the field and runs So. 78 Et. 57 poles to a stake on the back line then as that line No. 25 Et. 14 poles to a pine then No. 37 Et. 75 poles to the road then as the road abt. No. 70 Wt. 53 poles then along the road So. 73 Wt. 120 poles to the fork of the road then So. 26 Et. 12 poles to a stake in a branch then down said branch as it meanders to the begining containing by estimation 53 acres this lot pays to lot no. 4 $15.00 - the 3th lot to Mary Pickette begining at the river and runs No. 72 Et. about 90 poles to an ash in a branch then So. 78 Et. 57 poles to a stake on the back line thence as that line So. 25 Wt. 54 poles to a stake then No. 73 Wt. abt. 125 poles to the river then to the begining containing by estimation 29 acres. The 4th lot Nicholas Hunter Begining at a dead oak on the bank of the river and runs No. 60 Et. 136 poles to a small pine and crubly oak then No. 25 Et. 48 poles to a stake then No. 73 Wt. abt. 125 poles to the river then down the river as it meanders to the begining containing by estimation Sixty - Eight acres this lot is to receive from lot No. 2 $ 15.00. All which is submitted by us the Committee. In Witnessed whereoff we doth hereonto set our hands and affix our seals. October the 20th day 1834. State of North Carolina Duplin County Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions October term 1834 The within report is returned at this term and confirmed by the Court and ordered to be registered.
