Warren Blount & Wife To Cullen Connerly
Bill of sale for one negro
State of No. Carolina Duplin County. To all to whom these presents may come Know
ye that we Warren Blount & Annis Blount both of the State & County aforesaid, for and in
consideration of the sum of eighty pounds current money of the State of North Carolina to
us in hand paid, have jointly bargained sold & delivered unto Cullen Connerly of the County
& State aforesaid one negroe girl named Esther about seven years old, which negro girl we
do by these presents warrant & defend unto the said Cullen Connerly his heirs or assigns
from the lawfull claim right or title of any person or persons whatever, as witness our
hands & seals this 22nd day of September 1786.

Then was the within deed proved in open Court by the oath of John McCaleb & ordered
