Titus Ogden by Daniel Glisson To William Dickson
Bill of Sale
Know all men by these presents that I Daniel Glisson Sheriff of Duplin County have the day of these
presents as Sheriff aforesaid sold to Mr. Titus Odgon the Highest bidder and his order as administrators in
the Estate of John McLean late of Georgia for the Consideration of one hundred and Forty two pounds currency
of North Carolina in hand paid by the said Titus Ogden the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged a certain
negroe Lad named Toney which said negroe Lad named Toney I the said Daniel Glisson Sheriff aforesaid do by
these presents In pursuant of the said Titus Ogdens order warrant and forever Defend unto the said Willaim
Dickson or his assigns in as full and ample a manner as I the said Daniel Glisson as Sheriff aforesaid can
Transfer or Grant Given under my hand and Seal in Duplin County February the 12th 1790.

Then was the within Bill of Sale proved in open Court by the oath of Thomas Wright and ordered to be
Registered. Test W. Dickson, C. C.

Mr. Daniel Glisson Sherif
As I have this day as administrator of John McLean late of Georgia Deceased Sold and became purchaser
of a certain negroe Lad named Toney of the property of the said John McLean for the sum of one hundred and
Forty two pound Currency of North Carolina and having Sold the said negroe Toney to Mr. William Dickson of
Duplin County. I Request you will sign to him such right of conveyances as you by virtue of you office as
Sheriff of the said County are Enabled and Authorised to do and this shall be your authority from admentr.
