(Transcribed by Joan S Dunn) Deed Book B-11 Page 15 & 16 Deed for 244 acres State of North Carolina Duplin County Where as by vitue of a writ of vindication exponas issued by the clerk of the County of pleas and Quarter Sessions for the County aforesaid directed to the sheriff of said County dated the third Monday of July 1837 comanding hereunto sell the the Lands of Allin G. Williams adjoining the Lands of Fredrick father Lewis M. Williams & Elizabeth Williams in said County he cause to be made the sum of forty three dollars & 65/100 which Owen R. Cox in the said court lately recovered against the said Allin G. Williams far a certain debt and damages and also the for the sum of ten dollars by the said Court adjudge for his cost and charges by him in his suit in that behalf expressed and that he should have said moneys before said court at the next court to be held for said county on the third Monday of October 1837 next to render the said plaintiff the debt and damages and cost aforesaid where of the said defendents was convicted I Thomas J. Kennear Sheriff of said County leved upon a certain piece or parcel of land lying in Duplin County herein after will more particular describe the tenements of Allin G. Williams aourtsed agreeable to Law on the third Monday of October 1837 sold the same to Owen B. Cox of the County of Jones being the highest and last bider at and for the price of thirty dollars. Know all men by these presents that I Thomas J. Kinnear Sheriff as aforesaid wit of vindication exponas and by authority of my said office for and in consideration of the said sum thirty dollars to me in hand paid by the said Owen B. Cox of these presents the receipt whereof is here by acknowledge have bargained sold alien set over and confirmed and I do here by bargin sell alien set over and confirm to the said Owen B. Cox all the right title and estate which the said Allin G. Williams has in to two pieces of Land described as follows giret five being attract of land deeded by John Farior to the said Allin G. Williams for one hundred and fifty four acres butted and bounded as foullews beginning at a stake supposed to be on the bounty line and runs So 70 wt 54 poles to a stake in his line then along his line So. 25 Et. 6 poles to a pine his corner then as his other line No. 25 wt 20 poles to pine his corner thence along his other line So. 65 wt 190 poles to a stake his corner then So. 73 Et. 180 poles to a stake then about No. 36 Et 350 poles to the beginning the 2nd piece or parsel of Land containing ninety acres be the same more or less being one fifth part an undivided tract or parcel of Land which was willed by old Samuel Williams to his younger heirs reference being had to be the deeded any patents more fully appear to it a deed from Joseph Dickson to Samuel Williams John Briten to Samuel Williams and James Brice to William Wells and others to have and to hold the said pease or parcel of Land with all and every appertainance there unto belonging unto the said Owen B. Cox his heirs and assigns for ever in witness where of I have here unto set my hand and seal at Kenansville the 30th day of October 1837 and in the 62nd year of independence of said State Signed seal us presents of Ichaboud H.
