Thomas Hooks To Hillary Hooks
Bill of Sale for 2 negroes
State of No. Carolina
Duplin County
Know all men by these presents that I Thomas Hooks of Duplin County have this day in
Publick and open dealing bargained and Sold unto Hillary Hooks for the Consideration of Two hundred and
fifty pounds North Carolina Currency to me in hand paid by the said Hillary Hooks, tow Country born negroes
Civil, Jin a wench about Sixteen years old, and Bob a boy about nine years old, which said two negroes
Bob and Jin I do hereby Engage to warrant and Defend to the said Hillary Hooks his heirs and assigns forever
from and against me, my heirs Executors and administrators and from and against all and every other person
or persons whatsoever. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this 14th day of March Anno
Domini 1792.
