Thomas Gray To Elias James

Bill of sale one negro

May 25th 1787.  Received of Elias James one hundred & twenty five pounds specie in full 
consideration for one negro waman slave named Nanny about sixteen years of age, which 
said negro woman slave I warrant & defend to the said James his heirs & assigns forever.  
In witness I whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal.
