(Transcribed by Joan S Dunn) Deed Book E Page 345, & 346 Thomas Gray To George Kornegay Bill Sale 4 Negroes Know all men by these presents that I Thomas Gray of the County of Johnston in the State of North Carolina for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and twenty five pounds specie to me in hand paid by George Kornega of the County of Duplin the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold to the said George Kornega his heirs and assigns forever four negroes slaves to wit, a woman named Mary and her three children Silvia Jim and Godfry which said four negroes I hereby warrant and forever defend to the said Georg Kornega his heirs and assigns against the Right Title Claim and Demand of all persons whatsoever witness my hand this 9th day of June 1791 signed sealed and Delivered in presence of Thomas Gray Daniel Clark State of No. Carolina Duplin County July Term 1791 Then was the within Bill of sale proved in open Court by the oath of Daniel Clark and ordered to be Registered.
