Thomas Benett To Samuel Benett
Deed 80 acres
This Indenture made the Sixteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred
and ninety two. Between Thomas Benett of Duplin County and Samuel Benett of the same County of the other
part. Witnesseth that the said Thomas Benett for and in Consideration of the sum of Eighty pounds specie
money to him in hand paid by the said Samuel Benett at the Delivery of these presents. The receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged he the said Thomas Benett hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents grant
bargain and sell unto the said Samuel Benett one certain Tract or parcel of Land lying on the No. side of
Goshen swamp and Bounded as follows to wit. Beginning at a white oake in a branch called old field Branch
Runs So. 15 Et. 56 pole to a stake thence So. 85 Wt. 46 pole to a water oake in a pond thence No. 52 Wt. 103
pole to a Blackjack thence No. 30 Wt. 60 pole to a pine thence No. 50 Et. 180 pole to a small red oak thence
24 Wt. 150 pole to a pine thence down old field Branch as it Meanders to the Beginning Containing Eighty acres
which the said Land the said Samuel Benett now lives on with all and Singular the Heridittaments and
appurtainances to the same belonging or in anywise appurtaining to him to have and to hold the said Lands
with the Heridittaments and appurtainances unto the said Samuel Benett his heirs and assigns forever to the
only proper use and behoofe of him the said Samuel Benett his heirs and assigns forever and the said Thomas
Benett do promise Covenant and agree to and with the said Samuel Benett his heirs and assigns to make any
farther Deed deeds or Conveyances need full for the Ensealing and Confirming the said Lands with the
Heridittaments unto the said Samuel Benett his heirs and assigns if required of the said Thomas Benett.
In witness I the said Thomas Benett hath hereunto set his hand and Seal the day and Date above written 16
January 1792.
