Thankful Hicks one hundred acres of land in Duplin County East
side the No. East River on dreans of Muddy Creek. begining at
a poplar in the mouth of Persimmon branch. Thence up the
branch No. 35 Wt. 64 poles to a white oak. Thence up the
branch No. 63 Wt. 68 poles to a white oak. Thence up the
branch No. 30 Wt. 60 poles to a pine & black jack, thence
Wt. 88 pole to a white oak Wm. Thomas Senr. corner.
Thence So. 35 Wt. 94 poles to a gum in the Broad branch.
Thence down the run to the mouth of Persimmon branch.
Thence about ten pole to the first station.
Dated the Twenty first day of September 1785

East side of the No. East River and South side of Limestone Swamp
and on both sides the Main Road. Begining at a pine the second
corner of the land she lives on. Thence along the same So. 35 Wt.
180 pole to a pine. Thence So. 55 Et. 90 poles to a stake.
Thence No. 35 Et. 180 poles to a stake thence to the first station.
Dated the Twenty first day of September 1785
