(Transcribed by Carolyn Shank) SOLOMON SESSUMS to CULMER SESSUMS, 1775 This indenture made this twelveth day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy five 1775 between SOLOMON SESSUMS Of Duplin County in North Carolina of the one part and CULMER SESSUMS of The same county an Provence afore said of the other part. Henceforth this The said SAMUEL SESSUMS for and in consideration of the sum of forty (40) Pounds proclamation money to him in hand already paid and satisfied hath Given granted aliened sold an confirmed unto the said CULMER SESSUMS his Heirs an assigns forever One certain tract or parcel of land containing 200 acres it being on the ____ of Little Cohary beginning at apine south 45 west 179 poles to apine south 45 east 179 poles to apine thence north 45 west 179 poles to the beginning to a parcel granted to JOHN WILLIAMS Bearing date the 16th day of November 1757 with all an singular the rights Hereditaments appertainces whatsoever ___ belonging to the said land in Any ___ ____ to have and to hold this said tract or parcel of land meet All eufices an appentaindices unto him said CULMER SESSUMS his heirs and Assigns forever in as full clear perfect and ample manner to all intents And purposes as he the said SAMUEL SESSOMS ever did might or could have Held the same before the making final cleared and freed from all widows Dowery jointures or thirds and all manner of such incumbrances whatsoever And thus deed the said SAMUEL SESSUMS binds and obliges himself his heirs Executors administrators an assigns to warrant and forever defend to be Good valued an sufficient to the said CULMER SESSUMS his heirs an assigns Forever against his heirs an assigns an all other person or persons Whatsoever to lawfully claiming by him or under him or any of them.
