(Transcribed by Joan S Dunn) Deed Book E Page 234, 235, & 236 Solomon Carter To David Carter Deed for Sundrey peices of Land This Indenture made this sixth Day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven Hundred and ninety one Between Solomon Carter In the Province of North Carolina and County of Duplin of the on Part and Davee Carter of the other part and County aforesaid on the other part Witnesseth that for and In consideration of the sum of ninety Pounds current money tome in hand paid by the said Davee Carter before the Ensealing and Delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof I acknowledge myself to be fully satisfied contented and Paid every part & parcel thereof have given granted bargained sold aliened and conveyed and confirmed unto the aforesaid Davee Carter his heirs Executors Administrators and assigns forever one parcel of Land situate lying and being in the County aforesaid In our Province and state of North Carolina and County of Duplin on the East side of the north east of Cape fair it being one Hundred acres a paten taken up by Richard Sanders and also part of Two Tracts more one peice upon the West side of Sanders Paten Begining at a Red Oak the second corner of a tract of Land taken up by William William & Runs back with that old line towards the first till it comes to the Run of a small branch and thence with the Meanders of the Branch to the Run of another Branch devides between the said Carter and Isaac Dawson and thence up that Run till he comes to the said Williamses other line and thence to some Red oak containing forty acres be the same more or Less and also one Hundred acres the East side of a pond Richard Sanders Paten it being part of a Tract of four hundred acres taken up by said Carter begining at a stake upon said Sanderses line and Runs Et. 262 poles to a stake and thence No. 81 poles to stake by the side of a pond, and thence Wt. 262 poles to a pine and thence 81 poles to the begining containing one Hundred acres. To have and to hold togeather unto the said Davee Carter his Heirs Executors Administrators and assigns forever and as for my part the aforesaid Solomon Carter my Heirs Executors Administrators and assigns doth covenant and grant and warrent and defend the aforesaid Land and premises with all benefits and appurtenances to the same belonging, only exceptiong the yearly Quit rents which is or may become due furthermore for my part the said Solomon Carter my Heirs Executors Administrators and assigns by these presents doth forever hereafter warrent and defend the aforesaid Land and premises to the same belonging unto the said Davee Carter his Heirs Executors Administrators or assigns In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written. Signed sealed & delivered in presents of us Solomon Carter Hezekiah Blizzard Constant Carter State of No. Carolina Duplin County April Term 1791 Then was the within deed acknowledged in open Court and ordered to be Registd.
