Granted to Sarah Batts two hundred and fifty acres of land in Duplin County Et.
side the North Eastt branch of the Cape Fear River South side of Muddy creek and
south side of Staffords Swamp including her improvements whereon she now lives.
Begining at a white oak on the swamp supposed supposed to be on John Ancrums line.
Thence as Ancrums line South 65 Wt. 320 poles to a pine his corner. Thence No. 8
St. 26 pole to a pine Henry Fountains corner. Thence his line No. 35 Et. 208 pole
to a pine his corner. Thence his other line No. 25 Wt. 23 poles to a pine his
corner. Thence No. 65 Et. 72 poles to a pine his corner Thence the course continued
No. 65 Et. 106 poles to a gum on the run of the swamp. Thence up the run as it
meanders to the begining.
