Samuel Sessums to Isaac Sessums
100 acres State of North Carolina 1785
This indenture made this 13th day of June in the year of our Lord God one
Thousand seven hundred and eighty five (1785) between SAMUEL SESSUMS of
Duplin County in North Carolina of the one part and ISAAC SESSUMS of the
Same county and Provence
Aforesaid of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said SAMUEL SESSUMS for and in consideration of the
Sum of Twenty (20) pounds proclamation money to him in hand already paid
And satisfied hath given granted aliened bargained and sold and confirmed
And by these presents doth absolutely give grant bargain sell and alien
Enfeffer and confirm unto the said ISAAC SESSUMS his heirs asigns forever
One Certain tract of land containing one hundred acres of land it being
And being in Duplin County between Little Cohary and South River in the
Fork of the Great Swamp and the Beaver Dam Swamp near a place called Hicks
Island. Beginning at apine on the East side of the Great Swamp. Running
North 70 East 137 poles to apine thence South 20 East 127 poles thence up
The Great Swamp to the beginning mouth all and Singular the rights
Hereditaments appertainced appendants whatsoever to the said land in any
----- thereunto belonging to have and to hold the said tract or parcel
Of land with all the edifices and dependants unto the said ISAAC SESSUMS
His heirs and assigns forever in as full bless perfect and ample manner
To all intents and purposed as he the said SAMUEL SESSUMS ever did might
Or could have hold the same before land an freed from all Widows dower in
This deed the said SAMUEL SESSUMS hereby finds and obliges himself his
Heirs executors administrators an assigns to warrant and forever defend
To be good valued and sufficient to the said ISAAC SESSUMS his heirs an
Assigns forever against his heirs and assigns and all other persons
Whatsoever lawfully claiming by from or under him or any of them.
In witness whereof I the said SAMUEL SESSUMS have here unto set my hand
And seal affixed this day and year first above written.
