(Transcribed by Joan S Dunn) Deed Book 1 A Page 255, 256, & 257 Samuel & John Alberson To Windal Davis Deed for two tract of lands This indenture made this tenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty six, between Samuel Alberson and John Alberson of the State of No. Carolina and County of Duplin of the one part, & Windel Davil of the State aforesaid & County of Dobbs of the other part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of fifty pounds specie money to us Samuel Alberson & John Alberson in hand paid by Windel Davis before the ensealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof we acknowledge ourselves to be satisfied and paid, every part and parcel thereof therefore have given granted bargained sold & conveyed and by these presents do fully and freely absolutely two lines convey & confirm unto Windel Davis his heirs executors admins. and assigns forever two certain tracts or parcels of land situate lying and being in the County of Duplin on the dranes of the great Brach, joining the said John Alberson's line. Begining at a pine on the said John Alberson's line by his house, and runs with his line SO. 30 Wt. 200 pole to a red oak, thence So. 60 Et. 160 poles crossing a drane of the Great Branch to a Hickory on the side of the Branch, thence No.30 Et. 200 poles to a stake, thence to the begining, it being the said Samuel Alberson part, containing two hundred acres, also the said John Albertson's part, lying between the head of Poley Bridge Branch and the Beaverdam Branch. Begining at a Hickory on Edward Carter's line and runs So. 30 Wt. 180 pole to a pine, thence No. 60 Wt. 180 pole to a stake in the certre of three pines, thence No. 80 Et. 18 pole through Pickadely to a stake on Carter' line, thence to the begining, containing two hundred acres more. To have and to hold the said Windel Davis his heirs executors administrators and assigns, togeather all advantages woods ways waters and water courses, and as for ou parts the aforesaid Samuel Albertson & John Albertson our heirs executors administrators doth hereby covenant promise and engage unto the aforesaid Windel Davis his heirs executors administrators and assigns, that they shall peacebly and quietly hold use occupie and enjoy the aforesaid land and premises, with all the appurtenances and previledges tot he same belonging free and clear of all incumbrances whatsoever, and as for me the aforesaid Samuel Alberson & John Alberson our heirs executors and admins. and assigns will forever defend the aforesaid land and premises as aforesaid to Windel Davis his heirs executors administrators and assigns against the lawfull clame or clames of any persons whatsoever. In witness whereof I have hereunto set our hands and fixed our seals the day and date first written.
