(Transcribed by Joan S Dunn) Deed Book B Page 121 Samuel Jones two hundred and twenty acres of land in Duplin County East the North East River and North side of Panther Swamp, including his improvements on the Road. Begining at a black jack west side the Road, thence along Smiths or Barnes's line So. 30 Et. 36 poles to a stake in the Road. Thence as their other line (continued on page 122) line partly along the Road So. 10 Wt. 110 poles to a red oak their corner. Thence South 44 Et. 60 poles crossing White Oak Swamp to a white oak. Thence Et. 126 poles to a stake on Mills Mumfords line. Thence as his line No. 54 poles to a pine Lewis Smiths corner. Thence as his line No. 10 Wt. 52 poles to a white oak in White Oak Swamp, thence as his other line No. 14 Et. 182 poles to a red oak. Thence on or nigh Barnes's line to the begining. Dated the Tenth day of November 1784
