Samuel Alberson five hundred acres of land in Duplin County. Joining his own line on the
North side of the Great branch. Begining at a cypress and gum on the run of the great
branch on John Stewarts line alittle below the road and runs No. 130 poles crossing the
road twice to a black jack, thence Et. crossing the road again 118 poles to a pine on his
own line. Thence with his line No. 21 Et. seventy two poles to a black Jack. Thence No.
83 Et. 40 poles to a white oak his corner. Thence So. 25 Et. 44 poles to a maple in the
Great branch. Thence up the branch No. 52 Et. 80 poles to a cypress on Lott Grays line.
Thence with his line No. 30 Wt. 110 poles to a white oak Grays corner. Thence No. 110
poles to a stake. Thence Wt. 286 poles crossing the road to a pine. Thence So. 164
poles to a red oak his own corner. Thence with his other line So. 4 Et. 60 poles to a pine.
Thence No. 85 Et. 40 poles to a stake, Thence So. 7 Wt. 220 poles to a (continued on

Samuel Alberson one hundred acres of land in Duplin County on the Et. side of the
North East River and in the swamp joining James Mathews's his own and James
Outlaw's lines. Begining at a cypress in the edge of the swamp on Mathews's line
just above the mouth of the great branch and runs with his own line No. 40 degrees
Wt. 172 poles to a lightwood tree on Outlaws line thence with his line South 25
degrees Wt. 53 poles to a water oak. Thence So. 45 degrees Et. 60 pole to a
gum. Thence So. 40 Et. 170 poles to a gum. Thence to the begining.
