Ruben Weston To Sarah Taylor
Deed 100 acres
This Indenture made this twenty first day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand
seven hundred and eighty nine between Ruben Weston of the County of Duplin and State of No.
Carolina Plantor of the one part and Sarah Taylor daughter of Thomas Taylor of the County
and State aforesaid spinster of the other part witnesseth, that the said Ruben Weston for
and in consideration and the of Forty pound specie to him in hand paid by the said Sarah
Taylor before the sealing, and delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby
acknowledge hath given granted bargained and sold, and by these presents doth give grant
bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said Sarah Taylor her Heirs and assigns forever,
a certain tract or parcel of Land Situate lying and being in the County of Duplin on the
South side of the Nor. East of Cape fear. Begining at a pine standing in a small branch
of the wolf scrape Runing No 10 wt 120 pole to a pine thence so 80 wt 120 pole to an oak
thence, So 10 Et 120 pole to a pine, thence a Right line to the Begining Containing one
Hundred acres, being the Land whereon Thomas Taylor now lives, to have and to hold the
said bargained premises unto the said Sarah Taylor her heris and assigns forever together
with all Houses orchards, gardens waters ways and water courses, and all right Estate Title
Claim or demand of him the said Ruben Weston his Heirs Executors Administrators and assigns
and every of them, and the said Sarah Taylor shall and may from Time to Time and at all
Times forever hereafter Lawfullly peaceably and Quietly have, hold, occupy possess and
enjoy the said premises with profits Comodities immutrutues advantages or previledges
whatsoever thereunto belonging or any ways appurtaining and the said Ruben Weston doth
hereby declare himself to be seized and possessed of a full free and Rightfull Estate of
Inheritance In Fee Simple of in, and to the said premises and every part and parcel thereof,
and hath full power and authority to seal and confirm the same unto the said Sarah Taylor
her heirs and assigns according to the True intent and meaning of these presents, Free and
Clear and Freely and Clearly acquit and discharged from all former or other gifts grants
bargains, sales, wills, Laws & Mortgages, entails, Dowers, and Rights of Dowers and every
other incumbrances whatsoever and further the said Ruben Weston his heirs Executors Adms
and assigns doth by free virtue of these presents warrent and forever defend the said
bargained premises unto the said Sarah Taylor her heirs and assigns forever from the lawfull
claim or claims of all manner of persons whatsoever In witness whereof the said Ruben Weston
hath hereunto set his hand Seal the day and date above written.
