Robert Dickson To Richard Chisson
Deed 50 acres
This Indenture made this twenty fifth February & In the year of our Lord Chrits one thousand
seven hundred & ninety and In the thirteenth year of the American Independence. Between
Robert Dickson of the County of Duplin & State of North Carolina Esquire on the one part &
Richard Chisson Junior of the same place Planter of the other part. Witnesseth that the said
RObert Dickson for & in some good causes & considerations him self thereunto moving or
consenting But more especially for the Valuable consideraion of the sum of twenty five pounds
to him in hand payed or secured to be paid before the Insealing hereof the Receipt whereof
he the said Dickson Doth thereof acknowledge and thereof Discharge the said Richard Chesson
his heirs & assigns forever Hath given granted Bargained sold & Delivered unto the said
Richard Chesson his heris and assings forever one message tract or parcel of Land situate
lying & Being in the County of Duplin & West side of the North East River & on the south side
of Maxwell swamp Butted & bounded as follows Begining at a Large apruse pine on the East
side of a little branch of Maxwell In said Chessons Line Thence so 65 Wt 114 poles to his &
BOneys Corner thence So 25 Et 70 poles to a stake thence No 65 Et 114 poles To a small white
bay tree in the Et side of the Little Branch Befor mentioned thence down the Various Courses
of said Branch to the Begining containing in all 50 acres Be the same more or less It being
the one half of Patent granted to said Robert Dickson & sold to said Chesson to have and to
hold the said demised Land & premises with allthe appertainances to the same belonging to
him the said Richard Chesson to have hold use occupy Enjoy & possess as his own free & Lawfull
Inheritance free & clear from all miner or former gifts grants Leases Mortgages intails
jointers Dowers Judgements Executions Entents or troubles of Lawsuits & whatever & as for me
the said Robert Dickson my Heirs Executors Administrators shall & will forever warrant & defend
the said Demised Land & premises to him the said Richard Chesson his heirs and assigns forever
as also from against the Just & Lawfull claim or claims of any other person or persons whatever
wheremay hereafter Lay any Lawfull claim or claims to the same In Witness hereof I have
hereunto set my hand & fixed my seal Date above written.
