Robert Dickson To Alexander Dickson
Deed for 50 acres lands
To all to whome these presents shall come greeting. Know ye that I Robert Dickson
of the State of No. Carolina & County of Duplin for and in consideration of the sum of fifty
pounds currency to him in hand paid or secured to be paid by Alex. Dickson of the same place
before the ensealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof the said Robert
Dickson doth hereby acknowledge himself to be therewith fully satisfied contented and paid &
of every part & parcel thereof hath by these presents given granted bargained sold aliend
enfeoffed conveyed assigned confirmed & sett over tot he said Alexander Dickson a certain
tract or parcel of land sittuate lying & being in the County aforesaid on the head of green
branch and Stalkinghead branch. Begining at a pine said Dickson's corner, thence So. 30 Wt.
56 pole to a black jack, thence SO. 60 Et. 144 pole to a water oak in Stalkinghead Branch No.
30 Et. 56 pole to a stake in Robert Dickson's open line, thence as his line to the begining,
containing in the whold fifty acres be the same more or less, being part of the contents of
a patent granted to Robert Dickson for four hundred acres bearing date the fourth day of
March 1775. To have & to hold the said bargained land & with all the appurtenances tot he
same belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the said Alexander Dickson his heirs &
assigns forever & the said Robert Dickson the above bargained land and premises shall and
will warrant and forever defent to him the said Alexander Dickson his heirs & assigns forever,
from & against him the said Robert Dickson his heirs & assigns as also from & against the
just & lawfull claim of every other person whatsoever who may hereafter lay any lawfull clame
to the same. In witness whereof the said Robert Dickson hath hereunto sett his hand and seal
this eleventh day of October in the fourth year of American Independence & in the year of our
Lord 1779.
