(Transcribed by Joan S Dunn) Deed Book E Page 86, & 87 Robert Cole Senr. To Robert Cole Jnr. Deed of Gift To all people to whom these presents shall come Robert Cole do send Greeting know ye that I the said Robert Cole of the parish of St. Gabrael as In the County of Duplin and State of North Carolina Hatter for and in consideration of the Love and good will and affection which I have and doo bear towards my beloved son Robert Cole Junior of the said County and State & parish I have given three cows one two year old hefer not marked at any Four laims one two year old Bull one year old meer two year old hefer is all to one two year old hefer marked thus a smooth cross In each Ear and a slit in Each one a half moon in Each ear and a Nick under the half moon in the Right year I have Given and granted & by these presents doo freely give and grant unto the said Robert Cole Junr. his heirs Executors administrators these particulars mentioned Cattle Now in my possession and in the parish and County aforesaid of which before the signing of these presents I have Delivered him the said Robert Cole on invintary signed with my own hand and bearing Even Date to have and to hold the said Cattle and all their Ineres Except one Beef To allow my wife Every year toward Rasing and schooling of him and further more I do Bind my self to his heirs Executors administrators from hence forth as his and their proper Cattle also totaly without any Manner of Conditions In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 9th day of October 1790. signed sealed & Delivered Robert Cole in the present of Stephen Halso John Halso State of No. Carolina Duplin County October Term 1790 Then was the within Deed acknowledged in open Court and ordered to be registered.
