R. J. Hunter To James K. Hill & John J. Hurst

Deed 375 Acres

This Indenture made this 15th day of April 1839 between Robert J. Hunter of the County 
of Duplin in the State of North Carolina of the one part and James K. Hill & John J. 
Hurst of the same place of the other part witnesseth that the said Robert J. Hunter 
for and inconsideration of the sum of seven hundred dollars to him in hand paid or 
secured to be paid before the Execution of these presents hath granted bargained sold 
& set over and do by these presents grant bargain sell set over & deliver unto the 
said James K. Hill and John J. Hurst all that tract or parcil of Land in Duplin County 
on Goshen Swamp adjoining the Land of Hollowell Hodges Susan Oates & others it being 
the lands formerly owned by the late Isaac Hunter & which was conveyed to the said 
Robert J. Hunter by the last will of the said Isaac Hunter deceased containing three 
Hundred and seventy five acres more or Less to have & to hold the said bargained Lands 
& premises to the said James K. Hill and Hollowell Hodges & their Heirs forever and the 
said Robert J. Hunter doth bind himself forever to warrant & defend the title of the 
aforesaid Lands to the said James K. Hill and John J. Hurst & their Heirs to gether with 
all the advantages & inprovements that in any wise belong to the Lands & free from 
incumbrances & from and against the claim of any person whatever In witness whereof I 
have hereunto set my hand and seal the day first above written the name of Hollowell 
Hodges Stricklin out & John J. Hurst inserted before the Execution of the deed
